There have been drastic changes in our lives which also affected the environment. These changes are the severe damages to our ecosystem that we cannot reverse their effects anymore. Global Warming is one of the serious effects of our actions on the environment and nature. The industrialization, deforestation, and contamination of bodies of water has greatly affected our planet. We have plundered our natural resources to the point of no return.
The manufacture of products such as plastics, Styrofoam and other non-biodegradable materials pollute our lands and seas. Hazardous chemicals that excrete greenhouse gases have thinned our atmosphere, thus global warming becoming an issue. Global warming is causing drastic changes to our weather and climate, polluting our air, and making oceans more acidic. These changes affect us humans, animals, and plants.
Nowadays, people are more aware of global warming. The government and environmental organizations spread awareness of the situation, though global warming is irreversible. Hence, they are still makings ways to prevent further damage to our environment.
Causes of Global Warming
Global warming is caused by two factors, one is natural causes such as volcanic eruptions, greenhouse gases and the rising of sun’s temperature. These natural causes were greatly disrupted by the other factors that we, humans and our actions did towards the environment.
Here are the causes of global warming caused by human actions:
- Deforestation – We have destroyed ecosystems such as jungles and mountains, cutting trees along the way. Reducing our supply of clean and breathable air.
- Mining – has drastic effects on the landscape, mining destroys the land itself. Mining causes erosion and excretes pollutants from the soil.
- Fossil Fuel – The use of fossil fuel releases harmful greenhouse gases which slims our atmosphere and trapping more greenhouse gases.
- Industrialization – One of the biggest factors of global warming is the industrialization of our cities, the destruction of natural habitats and the abusive use of our natural resources.
All our actions towards the environment from the beginning of our civilization, to the present, have accumulated up to this point. We have destroyed our environment and now the consequences are here. Global warming is a boomerang effect of our abuse towards ecosystems and natural habitats. We were ignorant of these damages as well as our actions brought to the planet. Now, we are experiencing various weather conditions that aren’t in season. Storms and snowfall during the summer and hot days during winter. These extreme weather conditions are the effects of global warming and climate change.
As it affects our environment, it also affects us humans, animals, and plants. Everything that has an effect on our environment will eventually come and haunt along with its consequences.
Preventing Global Warming
The government and environmental organizations have spread awareness regarding global warming and its effects. People have become Eco-friendly and reduced the use of hazardous products such as plastics. We are also recycling our materials and waste products to reduce the pollution of our environment.
Preventing further growth of global warming should be the goal of today’s society. Taking care of our natural resources and remaining ecosystems is a big way to help the planet. These simple changes do good for our environment and will benefit us as well.
Global warming is an effect of our abuse towards nature. This is just the consequences of our actions and the plunder of our natural resources. Global warming was generally caused by the rise of human civilizations, the industrialization of our cities and the destruction of the environment.
As payment for what we have caused, we must act towards the betterment of our environment. The government and environmental organizations pave the way to the restoration of our environment. We must be more aware of the changes in our surroundings, Global warming is an issue we can no longer avoid. Thus we should be the ones acting to prevent further damage that it will and can cause.
