News About Our Environment- Its Not All Bad

news about our environment

The news about our environment improving sounds like a shining ray of hope in this hopeless dark age for everyone, yet each spark of sunshine has a darker shadow. The latest tornado outbreak has affected lives all around the globe and has also impacted the environment negatively. While the media continues to focus on the twister’s path and the possible severe damage, no one is talking about the aftermath and the damage that will occur after the storm is done. This article will discuss the news about our environment as we move into the spring. As each of us tries to make preparations for the upcoming spring, there are a few things that need to be addressed.

News About Our Environment

A close up of a light

Since the Earth has warmed and expanded, there is the potential for major drought and flood in many parts of the planet. In the United States, the recent droughts are being blamed on the lack of rain and a lack of vegetation. The good news about these potential disasters is that they could be a common occurrence for up to 50 years, depending on global warming. Although global warming was a factor in the recent Midwest drought, it will likely not be the only contributor this year. Extreme weather events have been in the news lately, and the threat from hurricanes and flooding will continue.

Many people have been turned off by the news about our environment because they believe that it is caused primarily by manmade global warming. Global warming is believed to be the cause for increased hurricane activity, resulting in flooding, superstorms and other weather events. Although global warming may not be a direct cause, it can increase the frequency and intensity of naturally occurring extreme weather events. In order to decrease the number and severity of such events, it is important to implement alternative forms of energy production and clean energy systems. Many of these alternatives, such as clean energy and renewable energy can replace fossil fuels that contribute to global warming.

Number Of Environmental Issues

There are a number of environmental issues which could be linked to social distancing. These include issues such as pollution levels in major cities, the effect of new construction and urban sprawl on the environment, air pollution levels and global warming. The effects of pollution levels in major cities around the world can impact people’s health and the quality of life. In addition to affecting the quality of life, it can also negatively impact the economy of a country. The fewer people that can be moved to a new location, the smaller the economic impact will be on that location.

It’s difficult to say if global warming is a factor in the increase of atmospheric pollution, but it is believed to be a contributing factor to climate change. One of the largest contributors to climate change is the release of carbon dioxide and methane from fossil fuel burning plants. Earth’s average surface temperature has increased by approximately 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit over the last fifty years. Although the increase is slow, it is still worth exploring. If the warming continues at the rate that it is currently going, it will eventually pose a significant risk to the food supply and human health.

Major Other Factors About Environment

Ocean acidification and warming are another one of the major factors behind the issues described above. Ocean acidification is caused by the increase in dissolved oxygen and lower pH levels. This can potentially threaten the marine food chain, the aquatic ecosystem and coral reefs. A study co-sponsored by the National Academies, showed that a slowdown in ocean growth is one of the greatest threats to global warming and climate change. While it is too soon to tell whether or not the slowing down of ocean growth will cause climate change, the effects of the slowing down are being discussed in scientific circles as a possible reason for the recent rise in global temperatures.

On the other hand, it is good news to know that there is still hope for positive changes to occur. A growing number of countries and individuals are investing in clean energy technology. Government support for clean energy research is increasing. This is good news as this type of technology has the ability to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions have been determined to be one of the major causes of climate change. If these emissions continue to grow unchecked, they will spell disaster for the future of humanity and nature.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, while we mustn’t ignore the news about our environment, we do need to take action. It is important for us to begin to reduce the carbon footprint that we produce. And the good news is that it can be done. We can reduce nitrogen dioxide emissions and increase the efficiency with which plants convert sunlight into oxygen and use up carbon dioxide.
